The UK is home to some fabulous restaurants serving cuisine from around the world. They provide not just lip-smacking food but a great ambience too. High standards and cleanliness are something that many restaurants will pride themselves. Most restaurants are now offering sit-in and take-out options so you can even enjoy high quality food in your own home. You can sit back, bite on your French bread and have an entertaining evening with friends, family and loved ones.
At restaurants you can try dishes from the far east or the Mediterranean which might be foods you haven’t tasted before. Arabic restaurants often offer great meat dishes or go for fine dining with French food. Nibble on French bread before your meal arrives. Or you could choose a hot curry at an Indian eatery or everybody’s favourite, a Chinese. For an indulgent evening, you could opt for a five course meal at an Italian restaurant. The antipasti is the first course and usually something like garlic bread, followed by the second course which can be soup or a light meal. The main meal is centred around meat or fish and has side dishes to go with it. And finally of course there is the dessert.
But eating out is not just about the food. The ambience of a restaurant is just as important. The decor, lighting, even the glasses and cutlery are chosen to create the right ambience. Colours, artwork and focal points are used to make the eating space interesting and different. many restaurants will try to transport you to their country by adding cultural design features. The right music can make a big difference. While some restaurants stream lounge music which you can enjoy with your food, others have live bands playing.
You can choose which restaurant to go to by thinking about your tastes, what time you have and if you feel casual or formal. Restaurants offer quick meals for working lunches. If you have time, you could enjoy a lazy meal with some entertainment or choose a restaurant suited for a romantic evening out. You can also get nice wines, cocktails and drinks. For those of you with a sweet tooth, there are a range of fine desserts, fresh fruit ice creams and desserts offered by most restaurants to pamper you.
