Cheese plays a big role in human race. Thinking about cheese’s life story makes me amaze because of its dramatic evolution; from single discovery of the original cheese up to today’s various new discoveries of different cheese classification. cheese’s culture and history tells the world about its own fame.
In this article, I am going to share some facts about cheese.
Cheese, in case you do not know yet, has different types and classification. It varies with the age and how it is being processed. They vary from the kind of milk that animals produce; they may be:
Cow’s Milk
Goat’s Milk
Sheep’s Milk
Buffalo’s Milk
Mixed Milk (any combination from the above milks)
Cheeses has different flavors because of the different sources that cheese makers can choose from. That is the reason why there are lots of classifications of cheese. Out of it comes different form of arts in cheese making. Out of these milk sources these are some of the types of cheese that are available to satisfy your taste buds:
Blue Cheese: This is widely used in the community. This classification came from cow’s milk, sheep’s milk or goat’s milk. The blue dotted part of the cheese came from the added content Penicillium. This added material is also responsible for giving this cheese a distinct type of odor and aroma.
Soft and Fresh Cheese: This type of cheese can be made up of the different cheese sources. This cheese type is most likely the natural type. It gives a less strength in its flavor. Its texture is soft. This kind of cheese needs to be quickly consumed. The soft cheese has a bit higher position in age than the fresh cheese.
Semi-soft Cheese: This type of cheese has firmer texture than fresh cheese. This has a richer flavor. This type of cheese is useful in cooking any recipes that need cheese in it. This is a cook’s secret recipe.
Hard-type Cheese: The hard type cheese is older when it comes to age. Its crystalloid texture is ideally used for sprinkling.
Stinky Cheese: The unusual taste of this cheese may give unique flavor to your dish even though it smells different.
