What Are The Different Birds You Can See In Your Garden?

Nothing is more wonderful as watching a colorful little marvel of nature fluttering in your home garden. Birds are probably the species most graciously colored by Mother Nature. The brilliant aura animated via beautiful flapping wings offer a jaw dropping sight for even the very insensitive of all beings. However, attracting these birds in your garden is not as easy as it may sounds, there is a number of people who particularly decorate their gardens to attract the birds. Their intention is not to encage them but to enjoy the beauty of nature for a while. People like thes are called birdwatchers. Garden birds are not only fascinated by the flora and fauna, Garden decor such as Wind chimes, sprinklers and bird baths are also appealing to birds.

However, there is a number of garden birds which will visit your gardens without too much demands. Although, as the population of serious bird watchers is elevating in states and Europe, the chances of beautiful guests in garden might dramatically reduce if not correctly prepared. You should also have some knowledge about the birds that come often in your town. Other than the knowledge about their feed and habitats, there are also many general facts that are surprising to know. Here are some of the most common garden birds found around Europe and America.

Swallow: Swallows are frequently seen birds in many parts of the world and the birds can be migratory and non-migratory. There are several kinds of swallows which are now endangered by humans. They are sought on every corner of the world except Antarctica. Some common kinds of swallows are Mangrove swallow and Martin. Swallows make many different sounds or calls that signal their excitement or any other kind of communication.

Blue Jay: Contrary to swallows Blue jays are tougher to invite in a garden. It is a good looking bird in lavender blue to mid blue shades. The Jay belongs to the Corvidae family. With its origins in North America, it is a popular and belligerent bird. It raises its crest to show off its aggression and when the crest is down it is resting or feeding. This usually makes a gull like loud noise which is actually an alarm to send in for more birds in risky situations such as Hawks attack.

Common Cardinals: Cardinals or Redbirds are bright and lively addition to a place. It is a midsized bird and commonly found in South and North America. The bird has a very unique mask around its beak which is gray for females and black for males. Even though both male and female are reddish, the male bird might be a bit more vibrant than the females. The males generally use their songs to mark their territory.

American Goldfinch: It is a brightly colored travelling bird which flies from Southern Carolina to North Carolina. The male goldfinch changes its color from yellow to olive in the cold season whereas the female is typically dull yellow brown which somewhat brightens in the summer. It is also the state bird of Iowa, New Jersey and Washington.
