More LED lights in Fort Worth, Texas are being installed in major districts in town as well as highlights in favorite occasions.

LED light bulbs

Last Christmas season, as an example, Fort Worth’s 55-foot Sundance Square Christmas Tree was irradiated with over 4,000 LEDs, just in time for the usual 28th annual Chesapeake Energy Parade of Christmas Light Bulbs. Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief was present to run the crane that brought up on Main Street the blue spruce the city procured from Michigan.

There were actually more than 100 light floats at the parade itself, with main sponsors like XTO Energy.

Right next on the listing was the Cradle of Champions sculpture, which has been unveiled last January 28th. This 7-ton, 16-foot-high steel statue forms the shape of a huge football bursting throughout the State of Texas. Produced by Gerdau Ameristeel, the Cradle of Champions was installed also at the Sundance Square, few miles from the place the Pro Football’s Championship Game was presented.

IlluminFx, a constituent of Unitrac Energy Management Company that specialize in fiber-optic and LED lights, added pizzazz to the sculpture by applying its newest color-changing LED system for illumination.

These most recent LED lights in Fort Worth, Texas only help make the sculpture much more important. A. J. Hetzke, who is the general manager of IlluminFx, remarks that “to have even a small part in such a large project, which could mean so much to so many consumers, is very gratifying”.

The huge sculpture, which is a memorial to the high school football teams of the country, is lit by IlluminFx’s new Rio Series of energy-efficient, programmable LED accessories. What makes this technique unique is the selection of colored lighting alternatives. It can also be arranged to perform at least 24 lighting sequences with varying periods. The light shows generated are made via a very easy to use Windows-based system.

And as LEDs go, the program requires just about one-fifth the quantity of energy consumed by conventional lighting products. This sustains the other environment-friendly feature of the Cradle of Champions: it is crafted from steel recycled from a demolished stadium in northern Texas, with pieces of steel from Texas secondary football stadiums thrown in.

These 2 activities are motivating greater application of LEDs already, but maybe city officials need to look to Dallas for more motivation on how to even more promote use of LED lights in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dallas’ Aurora Arts Festival 2010 applauded with the style of light, enticing artists to participate in outdoor art that completed with light technologies.

All artworks were free of cost for the community to observe. About 600 guests were entertained to greater than 24 art light locations, launched generously by lighting organizations. These comprise of glowing architectural cones and swaths of light bulb that showered historic buildings. LED lights, audio-video and electronic programming, smoke machines, and fluorescent beams rinsed the buildings splendid.

The ambience was further empowered by the enough availability of food carts. On top of that, music was enjoyed all night long, making the celebration a fete where tourists can enjoy and experience fine art and technology simultaneously, applied in unexpected settings.
